PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (AL) LMG responds to Tropical Storm Claudette

Summary: Rianfall from Tropical Storm Claudette resulting in localized flooding in south Mississippi and south Alabama.

Rainfall occurring overnight and continuing this morning has sites in south Mississippi and south Alabama at minor to moderate flooding. Two crews(2 person crews) from the Jackson office were deployed to the area for obtaining high flow measurements within the area. One 2 person crew from the Montgomery office is being deployed to the Mobile, AL area to obtain high flow measurements in south Alabama. A one person crew was deployed from the Tuscaloosa office to make equipment repairs at station 02444160 Tombigbee River at Bevill L&D near Pickensville, AL . We will continue assessing sites as the storm moves through the area.
