PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (WA) MINOR AND ISOLATED MODERATE FLOODING IN WESTERN WA

Summary: Heavy precipitation and rising freezing levels are expected to bring minor and isolated moderate flooding across western WA Tuesday-Thursday.

Moderate flooding is forecasted for the Snoqualmie River near Carnation, WA and the Cowlitz River near Randle, WA from Tuesday, January 12 - Thursday, January 14. Several other rivers west of the Cascade crest are forecasted to experience minor flooding on these days. USGS field crews will be performing discharge measurements at priority stream gages throughout this event.
