Summary: Challenging fire conditions in areas of Oregon with severe and extreme Drought.
Fire threat is expanding and ongoing in much of Western Oregon. Fire conditions are forecast to continue to be dangerous through Thursday. However, critical dry conditions will persist until at least Monday, when a weak low-pressure system may bring limited showers to the NW part of the state.

Overall, USGS ORWSC has 16 gaging locations that are not currently reporting and have been flagged on NWIS Web. 10 of those are streamflow sites and 4 of the streamflow sites are NWS forecast points. Several other gaging locations are threatened. Affected gages support several different cooperators and many of them are important for water deliveries and flood control for USACE, USBR, and/or other cooperators
Damaged is not fully known but is most likely ranges from simple service failure (phone, cell phone), damaged sensors, or in some cases it may be a total loss.

Fieldwork has been postponed as needed to avoid active fire areas. No deployments for the event currently planned although FOCs are making access plans later in the week and/or next week.
