PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (GA NC SC) SAWSC Continues Response to Floods in Southeast United States

Summary: USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center (SAWSC) crews responding to flooding in the Southeast United States.
With dozens of sites in minor to moderate flooding from North Carolina to Georgia, SAWSC has deployed eighteen (18) crews to continue to make flood measurements and conduct gage repairs. Several peaks of record were directly measured during activities today in Georgia and South Carolina.
With more rain forecast for the remainder of the week, crews will continue to monitor the situation and respond as needed.
