PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (IN) Moderate flooding ongoing in Indiana

Summary: Heavy rain continues across northern Indiana bringing moderate flooding.

Forecast rainfall across northern Indiana was less than expected over the past 24 hours. The result is that all major flood forecasts have been reduced to moderate for the Kankakee, Iroquois, Yellow, Calumet, and Maumee River Basins.

The Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Water Science Center, Indianapolis office, has 3 crews (6 people) out today making discharge measurements. All gages are currently operational. Contact with the National Weather Service and the US Army Corps of Engineers is ongoing.
