Summary: Many sites are currently in flood stage.
A series of weather fronts have been bringing in rain to Western Washington over the last week. Currently there is a flood watch in effect in eleven counties in Western Washington and ten NWS river forecast streamflow stations are above flood stage. Most of these stations will crest today or tomorrow. Two stations are forecasted to reach the Moderate Flood category either late tonight or early tomorrow, no sites are forecasted to reach the Major Flood category. The 4-10 day trend on the NWS River Forecast Center shows only one station in Washington, Chehalis River at Porter, forecasted to still be in flood stage. The Western Washington Field Office (Tacoma) and the Northwest Washington Field Office (Ferndale) have crews out today and will have crews out again tomorrow to make high-flow measurements.
