Summary: Portions of Tropical Storm Narda have delivered heavy rainfall in the Pecos River Basin in southeastern New Mexico resulting in minor flooding.
Minor flooding in the Pecos River in New Mexico continues between Roswell and the New Mexico - Texas state line as moisture from the remnants of Tropical Storm Narda move through southeastern New Mexico.
Minor tributaries of the Pecos River, originating from the Sacramento Mountains, are flooding based on the current meteorologic conditions. A significant number of roads and railroads have been impacted in Chaves and Eddy counties in vicinity of the Pecos River. No injuries, deaths, or significant damage to infrastructure have been reported as a result of this flood event.

Currently, six personnel are conducting high-water measurements along the Pecos River and tributaries. Additionally, four personnel are en route to southeastern New Mexico to assist in additional measurements and flagging HWM.
Las Cruces Field Office personnel currently working with National Weather Service, US Bureau of Reclamation, and local law enforcement to monitor changing flood conditions throughout the impacted area.
