Minor flooding (NWS terminology) continues at some streams in Ohio, however two rain-free days have ameliorated the flooding.
One USGS crew was out today measuring peak of record flows on two Mahoning River sites. The first site is Mahoning River below Berlin Lake and the other is the Mahoning River below Lake Milton. The US COE Pittsburgh District is releasing a record amount of water out of these reservoirs. This was a coordinated effort between the Corps of Engineers and USGS to capture these record high flows.
