PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (WI) flooding in southern and eastern Wisconsin

Date: Fri, 15 Mar 2019 11:20:04 EDT

Summary: Flooding in southern and eastern Wisconsin

Rain on snow has resulted in flooding in southern and eastern Wisconsin. Three gages (in the Pecatonica, Sheboygan and Illinois-Fox River Basins) have either had record peaks or are predicted to do so and several other sites are predicted to reach moderate or near major flood stage. Smaller rivers have already peaked but larger rivers will peak over the next few days.

Three gages have been damaged by ice or flooding to the point where they are no longer reporting.

Eight pairs of streamgages are out collecting measurements and repairing gages.
