PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (NC) USGS SAWSC Responds to Hurricane Michael

Summary: USGS SAWSC Field Crews Continuing to Respond to Flooding from Hurricane Michael.

USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center (SAWSC) field crews are continuing to respond to flooding conditions in central North Carolina. As of this report, 34 flood measurements have been made on rivers that are in minor to moderate flood status.

Today, the SAWSC North Carolina offices have 16 crews continuing to make flood measurements. This is expected to be the last day of field activities related to Michael.
