Summary: The New Jersey Water Science Center deploys for the Nor'easter of March 2018--Update

March 2, 2018 UPDATE:

The storm surge sensor deployment was completed yesterday and the final tally is as follows:
--16 wave sensors
-- 3 baro sensors
All sites and data will be available via the Flood Event Viewer website.

Today, March 2, 2018, the New Jersey Water Science Center has dispatched 9 hydrographers to inland streamgages to verify/develop ratings and shifts, 2 technicians to resolve a gage issue, and 3 hydrographers to collect an elevated flow mircoplastics sample.

At this time, no work is planned for the weekend, however, we will monitor the situation and if conditions warrant, may dispatch field crews. The New Jersey Water Science Center anticipates dispatching several field crews to retrieve storm surge sensors starting Monday, March 5, 2018.
