PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (OH) Minor flooding in Ohio

Date: Mon, 06 Nov 2017 15:24:42 EST

Summary: Minor flooding is occurring in Ohio.

A dynamic fall system with plenty of moisture has dropped two to four inches of rain in central and eastern Ohio. This same system spawned an EF-1 tornado in Celina, Ohio, however the river gage at Beaver Creek near Celina remained operational.

Currently there are five crews measuring high flows. Three crews from the New Philadelphia field office are measuring high flows in the Wheeling and Little Muskingum River basins, while two crews from the Columbus field office are measuring high flows in the Licking River basin in Newark, Ohio.

The Licking County Emergency manager has been notified of our actions. The Pittsburgh Corps of Engineers has also been notified of our flood response in eastern Ohio.
