PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (TX) Tropical Storm Harvey

Date: Fri, 01 Sep 2017 17:16:18 EDT

Summary: Tropical Storm Harvey has moved out of Texas

Today, 40 employees from TX, LMG, and OK are out to do repairs and make measurements in the Sabine, Neches, Brazos, Colorado, and Trinity Rivers and repair any gages that they are able to reach. About 12 gages were not reporting this morning. Some of them have started reporting again as the high water recedes and the sensors resume a working range to the surface. Crews also continue to provide support for the Addicks and Barker reservoir operation with measurements today downstream of Barker Reservoir at stations on Buffalo Bayou.
Some crews will be going home today and will be replaced into the weekend and early next week with fresh crews.

Work will begin today on the FEMA HWM mission assignment. Crews will begin locating and flagging high water marks starting in the Corpus Christi area.

Communication with the USACE, NWS, the State Operation Center, and cooperators continues as they ask for assistance or information and to aid in their decisions for their critical operations.
