PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (WI) flooding in Wisconsin

Summary: Localized minor to major flooding in Wisconsin

Up to 7 inches of rain fell in parts of extreme southeast Wisconsin. The main river basins affected are the Fox, Pike and Root Rivers with the Fox River at New Munster setting a record peak in the NWS major flood stage.

The Fox River in Waukesha and the Root River Canal are in minor flood stage.

The Pike River in Racine hit a new record peak yesterday.

The Fox River at Burlington is also in NWS major flood but the gage is operated by the NWS.

Three crews are measuring high water today.

The WiWSC has been in contact with the NWS North Central River Forecast Center.
