Summary: IN-KY WSC continues response to ongoing flooding in Indiana.
The Indianapolis office of the Indiana-Kentucky Water Science Center (INKY WSC) is in the seventh day of flood response. The lower Patoka River has been in major category flooding since Wednesday evening and is experiencing backwater conditions from the rising Wabash River. Portions of the West Fork of the White River will likely reach major flood stage later today. No significant rainfall is expected for the next two days over the state.
The IN-KY WSC has 4 crews (8 people) out making discharge measurements and verifying gages in affected areas of the state.
