PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (KS) Project Alert Notice,(KS) Flooding

Summary: Minor flooding throughout East Central Kansas with additional rainfall forecast.
Heavy rainfall has brought minor flooding to south central and east central Kansas. Currently 4 stream gages are at or above flood stage with many others expected to reach minor flood stage over the next 48 hours. Basins impacted include the Neosho, Cottonwood, and Marais Des Cygnes. The Kansas Water Science Center has 3 crews currently obtaining high water measurements. Additional impact is likely with up to 3 inches of additional rainfall possible mostly falling on already saturated ground.
