Summary: A winter storm system that began moving across the region late Wednesday continues and is expected to bring more light but steady rainfall to parts of southern California through Saturday.
Rivers and streams in southern California are responding to this event, some of which are experiencing elevated flows (95-98 percentile) or are expected to exceed flood monitor stage (11023000) on Saturday. The California Water Science Center deployed 8 crews on Thursday in the Poway, CA and Redlands, CA service areas. Today, only 1 crew is deployed; however, another 1-1.5 inches of rainfall is expected tonight in the greater San Diego area, so crews from Poway, CA are prepared for possible deployment tomorrow.
