Summary: Dry conditions expected today following an atmospheric event that brought precipitation to many parts of California this week.
Rivers and streams are beginning to recede today as the storm system that brought rainfall to most of the State moves out of California. The California Water Science Center has collected over 80 streamflow measurements across the State in response to this atmospheric river event. Today, there are a total of 3 crews deployed in the Sacramento, CA and Poway, CA service areas. These crews are conducting high-flow measurements and sediment sampling.
No safety issues or equipment damage/failures were experienced during this event; however there was and continues to be intermittent network problems that cause real-time data display issues on NWISWeb. These problems appear to be server related and workarounds are being employed when these failures are detected.
