Summary: Minor and Moderate Flooding Forecast as Tropcial Storm Hermine exits North Carolina
Tropical Storm Hermine brought widespread rain to North Carolina, with rainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches across much of central and eastern North Carolina. Some areas along the coastal plain received rain in excess of 6 to 8 inches. Three crews have been dispatched to make discharge measurements in the Raleigh area and in the southeastern Coastal Plain. The Southeast River Forecast Center has forecasted moderate flooding for as many as 10 locations in North Carolina.
