Summary: Minor flooding in eastern New York.
Minor flooding is occurred in eastern New York as a result of 1.5 to 3.0 inches of rain. Moderate flooding due to an ice jam is also occurring on the Great Chazy R nr Perry Mills, NY near the Canadian border.
Seven USGS crews (12 staff members) from the Troy, NY Data Section of the New York Water Science Center are making high-flow measurements for rating calibration. Approximate annual exceedence probability is 0.2 (<5-yr flood). All equipment is operating.
