    <p>Summary: Minor and Moderate Flooding Occurring and Continuing in North Carolina</p>
    <p>An additional 1 to nearly 3 inches of rain has fallen over much of the western Peidmont and Mountains of North Carolina overnight (12/28-29/2015). These additional rains, on top of already saturated soils, has resulted in minor and moderate flooding in those areas. This recent rain in addition to runoff rom rainfall on Christmas Eve continues to keep rivers throughout North Carolina above normal conditions as noted on the USGS WaterWatch pages at: <a href="http://waterwatch.usgs.gov/?m=real&amp;r=nc">http://waterwatch.usgs.gov/?m=real&amp;r=nc</a>

Three crews (6 people) from the Asheville and Charlotte offices of the South Atlantic Water Science Center have been dispatched to measure streamflow at sites in the Little Tennessee, Broad and Catawba River basins.</p>
