Summary: The IN-KY WSC is responding to minor to moderate flooding occurring over portions of the lower Ohio River basin.
Several days of sustained rainfall have caused primarily minor flooding across the lower Ohio River basin. A few larger rivers like the White, Wabash, and Green are forecast to reach moderate flood stages within the next 48 hours.
There are no peaks of record forecast and crews are making measurements at sites as needed. The lower Ohio River is forecast to reach major flood stage early next week and several measurements are planned. There were 11 discharge measurements made yesterday with several more planned for today. Several gages are being repaired today due primarily to instrumentation issues.
There has been ongoing communication with the Corps of Engineers for some special discharge measurements throughout the event.
