PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (OK) Continued flooding in Oklahoma

Summary: 3 day rainfall totals in Oklahoma have exceeded 11 inches in the Northeastern and Eastern parts of the state.

Overall 11 inches of rain has fallen across Eastern and Northeastern Oklahoma. The storm event has also caused about 11,000 customers to be without power due to ice. Some River basins in flood stage include the Illinois, Spavinaw, and Kiamichi.

No streamgages have been damaged but several instruments have been replaced.

Currently 6 crews, consisting of 12 personnel, are deployed making flood measurements. Peaks of record have been measured in the Illinois and Spavinaw river basins. There are about 30 gages currently in flood stage.
