    <h1>PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (AK) High Water in Southcentral Alaska</h1>
    <p>Date: Tue, 29 Sep 2015 19:54:15 EDT</p>
    <p>Summary: A strong storm system moving through Southcentral Alaska has caused streams to rise sharply, flooding low lying areas.</p>
    <p>Heavy rain in the Anchorage and Matanuska Susitna Borough has caused minor flooding. Streams are expected to crest today and then quickly recede as a cold front moves into the area.

The Alaska Science Center has sent out 3 crews (6 people) to make discharge measurements at 9 sites.  All gages are working properly at this time. Recurrence intervals for the measured flows range from 2-5 year to 10-25 year.
