Summary: Minor flooding in southern Ohio.
Minor flooding is occurring over the southern one-third of Ohio due to 2-6 inch rains over the past two days. This area has been spared the heavy rains that occurred over the northern third of the state the latter half of June and early July so flooding in this sector is not as bad as it could have been. The areas that are affected are the Raccoon and lower Scioto river basins. All river gages are presently working properly.
The Michigan-Ohio Water Science Center has deployed two crews for a total of four people in response to this minor hydrologic event. Contact with the National Weather Service and Army Corps of Engineers is ongoing.
