Summary: Flooding continues in Missouri.
Ongoing flooding is occurring in Missouri from the southwest to the east central part of the state. Accumulated rainfall for the last 72 hours ranges from 3 to 8+ inches throughout this area. Currently 11 field personnel from the MOWSC are making high flow discharge measurements and 2 office staff are supporting the flood response. This response will continue through the weekend as the larger rivers continue to rise. An all time peak of record has been set at the streamgage on the James River near Springfield, MO which has been operated since 1955. Numerous contacts have been made with the NWS and USACE.
