PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (OH) Heavy rains in northern Ohio

Date: Thu, 18 Jun 2015 13:49:21 EDT

Summary: Heavy rains in northern Ohio resulting in moderate flooding.

Additional rain during the evening of June 17, 2015 have kept river stages throughout northern Ohio elevated. Flooding is considered moderate throughout most of northern Ohio. The worst of the flooding is in the Auglaize, Blanchard and Maumee River basins.

Flooding also occurred June 16, 2015 in the Mahoning River basin around the Youngstown area. Two crews from the New Philadelphia field office were sent to measure high water in that area as well.

For today, June 18, 2015, four crews are out measuring high water in the St. Mary's, Maumee, Sandusky and Scioto river basins. Many of the streams in these river basins are at their peak today. Crews will be dispatched tomorrow to cover this continuing event.
