Summary: Flooding is occurring in TX as a result of TS Bill, and is considered minor.
Flooding is occurring in TX due to rainfall from Tropical Storm Bill. Widespread 24-hour rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are common, with a few locations receiving amounts exceeding 7 inches. The flooding is local and is considered minor. The areas with the most significant flooding are along the TX Gulf Coast, in the Lavaca and Navidad River Basins. More isolated urban flooding is/has occurred in Houston and Fort Worth.
No damage has been reported during the event, with all real-time gages operational. The USGS TX WSC has dispatched 10 field staff to support high water data collection. Approximately 10 high-flow streamflow measurements have been made across the state.
