Summary: Minor flooding in Central and West Tennessee after weekend rainfall totals of 3 to 5 inches.
Weekend rainfall totals in much of West Tennessee exceeded 3 inches with totals in some areas near I-40 between Memphis and Nashville exceeding 4.5 inches. This storm event followed two winter storm events during the week which included up to 0.5 inches of ice accumulation in some areas and up to 4 inches of snow in other areas of Central and West Tennessee.
Stream gages on several of the Mississippi River and Tennessee River tributaries in Central and West Tennessee exceeded National Weather Service Action levels or Minor Flood levels at some point during the past couple of days.
The Lower Mississippi-Gulf Water Science Center had one field team deployed on Sunday and 4 teams deployed today.
