    <h1>PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (HI) Tropical Storm Ana</h1>
    <p>Date: Fri, 17 Oct 2014 14:17:00 EDT</p>
    <p>Summary: Probable flooding from tropical storm Ana expected over the Hawaiian Islands beginning Friday afternoon, October 17, 2014.</p>
    <p>Tropical storm Ana is expected to pass southwest of the Big
<br>
island with heavy rain beginning this afternoon. The National 
<br>
Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood watch for the 
<br>
Big island until 6 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014. 
<br>
Ana is expected to reach hurricane strength later today and 
<br>
then weaken to a tropical storm as it passes to the southwest 
<br>
of Maui, Molokai, Oahu, and Kauai bringing heavy rain. 
<br>
It is too early to tell the track Ana will take as it moves 
<br>
past the Hawaiian Islands.  NWS has not provided information 
<br>
on storm surge at this time.
<br>

All streamflow, crest-stage, reservoir, and rain gages are in 
<br>
good working order. The National Weather Service, Corps of 
<br>
Engineers, State and County Civil Defense agencies, and 
<br>
flood-hazard cooperators have been contacted. PI WSC personnel 
<br>
will respond to flooding when it is deemed safe to do so.</p>
