Summary: Heavy rainfall from the remnants of Hurricane Norbert has in high flows in some streams in Southern Utah.
Significant amounts of precipitation overnight and into today has resulted in high flows in the Santa Clara and Virgin Rivers. Rivers are still on the rise and three field crews have been deployed to keep gaging stations operational, make direct measurements where possible, and flag high-water marks. Office staff are working to enter measurements, update ratings and coordinate with the Colorado Basin River Forecast Center as well as the Salt Lake City Weather Forecast Office of the National Weather Service. It is expected that crews will be in the field tomorrow as well.
