Summary: Moderate Flooding is occurring in Northern New York
Moderate flooding is occurring in northern New York as a result of runoff from a deep snow pack in the Adirondack Mountains. Flows are generally the highest since April 2011, although the W Branch Saint Regis R nr Parishville and North Br Salmon R nr Redfield streamgages are experiencing their 3rd highest peaks since 1959 and 1985, respectively.
Six USGS crews (12 staff members) from the Troy, NY and Potsdam, NY offices of the New York Water Science Center are making discharge measurements to document the conditions and calibrate stage-discharge relationships at USGS streamgages.
