Summary: Minor to moderate flooding through-out California today as the second storm in as many days impacted the state.
A deep low spinning off the coast most of the day sent waves of precipitation through out the drought stricken state.
Heaviest amounts fell from Santa Cruz to the southern border and along the coast with lighter amounts in the Central Valley and northern portions of the state.
Because of the threat of mudslides and debris flows, some evacuations in limited areas below burns in canyons of the San Gabriel Mountains of Los Angeles were suggested but not mandatory. Several rescues were conducted in urban drainages of the Los Angeles Basin. No deaths were reported at the time of this writing.
No peaks of record were reported, No gages damaged or destroyed.
Approximately 30 crews were deployed state wide and over 80 measurements discharge were made. Follow up activity will be made tomorrow
as storm activity is expected to continue, ending Saturday evening.
