PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (CA) Flooding impact in California

Date: Sat, 01 Mar 2014 00:03:10 EST

Summary: Minor to moderate flooding through-out California today as the second storm in as many days impacted the state.

A deep low spinning off the coast most of the day sent waves of precipitation through out the drought stricken state.
Heaviest amounts fell from Santa Cruz to the southern border and along the coast with lighter amounts in the Central Valley and northern portions of the state.

Several rescues were conducted in urban drainages of the Los Angeles Basin. No deaths were reported at the time of this writing.

No peaks of record were reported, No gages damaged or destroyed.

Approximately 30 crews were deployed state wide and over 80 measurements discharge were made. Follow up activity will be made tomorrow
as storm activity is expected to continue, ending Saturday evening.
