Summary of Event Impact:
Heavy rainfall over the past 48 hours produced minor to moderate flooding across Kentucky. Two to four inches were common amounts with some areas getting between 5-7 inches.

Event Information:
Heavy rainfall over the past 48 hours has moved out of Kentucky to the east. The National Weather Service (NWS) reported cumulative rainfall of 2-7 inches.

The USGS KY office had four crews (8 people) out measuring discharge over the weekend in the weastern and northeastern portions of the State. Three gages are currently not working as we had damage to one and equipment issues at the other two.

Five people were killed by flood waters caused by a strong storm system that swept through most of Kentucky over the weekend. There were reported wind gusts of 82 mph.
