PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (OH) High-water event in Ohio

Summary: Heavy rains over the last two days has produced localized flash flooding.

Rainfall over the last two days totaling 2 - 3.5 inches across the state with the heaviest in a path from SW Ohio near Cincinnati to the northeast near Cleveland. Most rain fell late Saturday into Sunday morning. Many streams in SW, NW, North central are currently above minor to moderate flood stages. A few streams are forecasted to reach major flood stage by tomorrow but no records are expected to be broken. No rating extensions are anticipated at this time.

One stream gage malfunctioned and was repaired yesterday.

We are currently monitoring NWS_CHAT.

Two crews were deployed yesterday. Four are out today
