PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (MO) PROJECT ALERT NOTICE - Flooding in Southwest and South Central Missouri Continues

Summary: Another 4-8" inches of rainfall has fallen in parts of southwest Missouri moving through south-central parts of previously flooded regions.

Another 4-8" inches of rainfall has fallen in parts of southwest Missouri. The system is continuing to move to the northeast to the previously saturated and flooded south-central portion of Missouri. One fatality and one missing person is still remnant of south-central flooding previously. Three (3) streamgages and (1) sampler station have been destroyed; portions of several towns have been evacuated. There have been six (6) period of record peaks that have been reached and another (6) smaller drainage area stomwater gage record peaks reached. There are six (6) personnel deployed for flood measurements today. High-water mark flagging has been conducted at six (6) gaging locations and within a municipality (and local creek) where a flooding has led to a fatality and missing person.
