PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (CT) Tropical Storm Andrea

Summary: Heavy Rains from the remnants of Tropical Storm Andrea have deposited up to 5 inches of rain in areas of Connecticut causing some minor river flooding.

The National Weather service has reported over 5 inches of rain in the last 24 hours in some areas of Connecticut. Some minor flooding has been reported across streams and rivers in Connecticut. Flood watches and warnings have been issued for several Connecticut counties.

3 USGS crews from the Connecticut Office of the New England Water Science Center are out making discharge measurements today and 1 USGS crew is collecting water-quality samples.
