Summary: Extreme flooding in Western Arkansas over the weekend

Location: Western and Central Arkansas
4 people died from floods. Numerous State highways and bridges were damaged. Some damage to US Highways.

Estimated AEP 0.1% - 0.2% flood on Fourche LaFave River in Western Arkansas. Gage in operation since 1939.

5 crews out over the weekend primarily sampling flood runoff. Some crews were diverted to measure the floodflow as it passed through the Arkansas River. These crews will continue measuring this week.
