PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (OK) Heavy Rains and Flooding in Oklahoma

Summary: Heavy rains and violent storms impacted much of Central and Eastern Oklahoma.

There are several gages in Central and Northeast Oklahoma that are in flood stage or will be soon. Central Oklahoma (including the Oklahoma City metro area) received over 7 inches of rain in the last 24 hrs. There are currently 7 crews making measurements in Central and Eastern Oklahoma. Tomorrow crews will be measuring in Northeast Oklahoma.

There are numerous power outages across the Oklahoma City metro area. The state over the past two weeks has been impacted by deadly tornados, including several last night.

There are currently no streamgages lost due to tornados.
