PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (MO) Flooding in Missouri

Summary: Heavy rain falling over the last 24 hours has caused 39 rivers at USGS streamgages to rise above flood stage in Missouri.

Heavy rain (up to 5 inches)over the last couple of days has caused flooding in rivers from west-central to east-central Missouri. Currently, there are 39 streamgages with readings above flood stage, but no sites above the peak of record. Four crews will be out making flood measurements throughout the day.
