Summary: USGS Crews from the Tennessee Water Science Center respond to flooding in portions of eastern Tennessee
Flooding (above National Weather Service Minor Flood levels) is occurring at locations across southeastern Tennessee and northeastern Tennessee. The flooding in southeastern Tennessee is due to three day rainfall totals ranging from 4 to 5 inches. The flooding in northeastern Tennessee is due to rainfall occurring in western North Carolina the past two days (see Project Alert issued today by the North Carolina Water Science Center for more info).
Two crews from the USGS Tennessee Water Science Center are in the field today making discharge measurements.
