PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (MT) Drough Report for Montana

Summary: The lack of rainfall and high temperatures have reduced streamflows on southern Montana.

The U.S. Drought Monitor shows the southern half of Montana in drought. The lack of rain has caused streamflows at most gages to decrease.

Streamgages: Currently 11 streamgages in Montana are in the less than 10 percent of flow category. Routine field trips are documenting the drought flow conditions.
