 ABSTRACT:  Sealing of Observation Wells to Prevent Contamination of
            Aquifers.  This memorandum reminds Project Chiefs responsible for
            projects which require the drilling of observation wells should
            plan in their original cost estimates for the cost of sealing
            wells once it is no longer useful to the project, to avoid the
            contamination of an aquifer if the well is not properly grouted
            and plugged.
