Subject:  MEETINGS--First Announcement of the Fifth Federal
                    Interagency Sedimentation Conference

Attached is a copy of the first announcement of the subject
meeting.  This conference is a major sedimentation meeting.  At
the last conference, which was held in 1986, 101 papers were
presented.  As noted in the announcement, for the first time in
the 40-year history of the conference, papers will be open to the
non-Federal sector.

In order to ensure that all those interested in submitting papers
receive a "Call for Papers," we would appreciate your circulating
this announcement to your non-Federal cooperators and colleagues.
