                        Organic Substances in Water and 
                        Fluvial Sediment

The subject document is the revision of Techniques of Water 
Resources Investigations, Book 5, Chapter A3 and is being 
released as Open-File Report 82-1004 pending final 
publication.

This manual contains the analytical methods currently in use 
in the Central Laboratories System for the determination of 
organic substances and documents the significant expansion in 
analytical capabilities undertaken by the laboratories.
