PROGRAMS AND PLANS--Central Laboratories Quality Assurance Report In Reply Refer To: January 27, 1983 EGS-Mail Stop 412 QUALITY OF WATER BRANCH TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM NO. 83.05 Subject: PROGRAMS AND PLANS--Central Laboratories Quality Assurance Report A Quality Assurance Report for the Central Laboratories-- Atlanta and Denver--for the period January 1 through June 30, 1982, is attached. A replacement for pages 3 and 4 is included to correct an error noted after printing. The report covers quality-assurance samples which were submitted daily to the laboratories through a program which is independent of the management of the Central Laboratories System. The report does not cover the quality-control samples within the laboratory sections or the quality-assurance samples submitted by each Laboratory Chief to his laboratory. Because this quality-assurance program examines data after it has undergone routine Central Laboratory quality-control checks and has been stored in WATSTORE, the report should reflect the quality of the analyses received by the data user. Special attention should be directed to the "Discussion and Recommendations" section of this report. This section provides qualifications necessary for interpreting the information provided in tabular and graphic form. A Quality Assurance Report for the period July 1 through December 31, 1982, is in preparation. Quality Assurance Reports covering previous time periods are on file in the Quality of Water Branch. R.
