Subject: INFORMATION - Recovery of mercury from laboratory 
                       wastes

The attached article describes a procedure for recovering 
mercury from laboratory solutions and other laboratory waste 
sources. If you use mercury or mercury compounds in your 
laboratory, field service unit, or mobile laboratory, and 
have not already instituted a system for recovering waste 
mercury, you may wish to consider the described system, which 
appeared to be relatively simple and inexpensive.

We must be constantly alert and cognizant of our waste 
disposal practices to insure that our operations are 
environmentally above reproach.
