Subject:  PROGRAMS AND PLANS - Preliminary Instructions for 
          the processing of Multi-Variable Water-Quality Data

Attached is a copy of "Preliminary Instructions for the
Processing of Multi-Variable Water-Quality Data Recorded on 
a Single Sixteen-Channel Tape."  These instructions should 
be used in the processing of all water-quality monitor data 
being recorded by the Fischer-Porter digital recorder.  It is 
requested that copies of these instructions be made available 
to all technical personnel active in this type of monitoring.

request from Chief, Automation and Data Management Section, 
QW, Washington, D.C. Code 4064 5402.
