OFFICE OF SURFACE WATER TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM NO. 92.08
SUBJECT: PROGRAMS & PLANS--Compilation of memorandums related
to sediment
Responsibility for the sediment discipline was transferred from
the Office of Water Quality to the Office of Surface Water in
1985. As a result, numerous memorandums related to sediment have
been issued by two separate offices over the years. In addition,
numerous memorandums relevant to sediment have been issued at the
Division level. In an effort to consolidate memorandums issued by
these three sources, the Office of Surface Water has compiled a
listing of memorandums issued since 1971 that relate to sediment
and sediment transport. That list is attached.
Memorandums on the attached list have been subdivided by subject.
Some are listed under more than one subject, and those that are
either no longer relevant or have been superseded are listed in a
separate category.
We encourage all personnel involved in sediment-related work to
study the attached list. Although we have tried to include all
relevant memorandums, there may still be some that have not been
included. We would like to append any missing memorandums to the
list. Please contact Harvey Jobson at the Office of Surface Water
if you find any that should be added.
All currently relevant memorandums on the attached list, except as
indicated by an asterisk, have been added to the Office of Surface
Water data base of technical memorandums on QVARSA, the National
Center Prime computer (see Office of Surface Water Memorandum
90.04 for a description of that data base). Memorandums can be
found under the subject "sediment data." Future sediment-related
memorandums, issued by either the Office of Surface Water or the
Division, will be added to the data base.
