SURFACE WATER BRANCH TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM NO. 85.11

Subject: PUBLICATIONS--Transmittal of report "Development and Testing of
Highway Storm-Sewer Flow Measurement and Recording
                        System" by F. A. Kilpatrick, W. R. Kaehrle,
                        Jack Hardee, E. H. Cordes, and M. N. Landers

Attached is a copy of the subject Water-Resources Investigations Report
85-4111 that was prepared by the U.S. Geological Survey for the Federal
Highway Administration (FHWA). This work was funded largely by FHWA with
the ultimate intent to instrument selected sites around the country to obtain
more accurate and complete storm-sewer runoff related hydrologic data. The
FHWA recognizes the need for better data as input to and/or for verifying
models for designing storm-drainage systems.

A limited number of additional copies are available in the Surface Water
Branch.
